The Instant Pendant Adapter Only Kit allows you to design your own pendant light (shade sold separately). This patented, award-winning product transforms your existing recessed light into a customizable pendant in a matter of minutes.

Featuring an adjustable cord length of up to 48 inches, you can easily wrap the cord around the spindle arm to achieve your desired height. Change the cord length as needed by simply readjusting it.

Screwing the socket adapter into your existing recessed light socket is a straightforward process. Once the cord length is set, the decorative ceiling canopy slides up tightly against the ceiling, effectively hiding your recessed light. Only you will know it's there.

The compression nut, which matches the decorative ceiling canopy, holds the canopy in position without the need for tools. Simply turn it clockwise to tighten and counter-clockwise to loosen.

Please note that the Instant Pendant Adapter Only Kit does not include the shade. It is compatible with shades that have a 1 5/8-inch diameter opening. If you can see an E26 bulb in your recessed can, it's likely compatible. If there is no visible bulb, it's not compatible with the Instant Pendant.

This adapter converts 4-inch to 6-inch mounted recessed cans into pendant lights. It is not compatible with clip-in LED or retrofit cans. The canopy cover measures 8.25 inches and is designed for standard 6-inch cans.
